Berwick Rangers’ SPFL Development League game away to Alloa Athletic which was pencilled in for Thursday, April 23rd, was postponed because Alloa were unable to find a venue for the match.
It means Berwick’s next Development League match is away on
Tuesday, April 28th versus Stenhousemuir at Haddington Athletic, kick off 8:00 p.m.
Later in the same week, Thursday, April 30th, in the same competition, Alloa are due to visit Shielfield for a 7:45 p.m. start.
That leaves two away fixtures to be played the following week against Alloa and Cowdenbeath on Monday 4th May and Thursday 7th May respectively.
Before these games, the first team have a very important SPFL 2 match at home to East Fife tomorrow, Saturday, April 25th ( k.o. 3:00 p.m. ). Having ensured that they will not take part in the SPFL 2 relegation play-off, remarkably, Rangers still have a chance of qualifying for the promotion play off following last week’s 4-0 win away to East Stirlingshire and results of other games going their way.
East Fife are one of their challengers for the coveted fourth spot which they currently hold so it promises to be a hard fought match. It is hoped for a good turnout with Berwick fans getting behind the team as they make this late bid to finish in the top four.
