Four players from Berwick Rangers Reserves have been named in The Borders squad to play The Lothians in an East of Scotland League Representative Trial at Netherdale, Galashiels next Wednesday, March 13th, kick off 8:00 p.m. Reserves’ coach Mark Lamb described the selection of Jonny Fairbairn, Josh Morris, Kenny O’Brien and Greig Smith as ‘Great news’.
All but one of The Borders players are with First Division teams, the exception being Dean Rea of Gretna 2008. Gala Fairydean supply seven out of the 18 man pool with two each being chosen from Berwickshire clubs Coldstream and Eyemouth United.
The Lothians team will probably start off as favourites to win as fifteen of their eighteen players are with Premier Division teams including Craig Stevenson ( Lothian Thistle Hutchison Vale ) who was with Berwick Rangers at the start of this season for whom he made several first team appearances.
