Berwick Rangers shrugged off the heavy defeat against East Fife at Methil the previous week by winning 3-1 against Stirling Albion in Ladbrokes League 2 at Forthbank Stadium last Saturday, August 22nd.
Goalkeeper Mark Walters made his full competitive debut for Berwick and his former Coldstream teammate, Kieran Ainslie, made his first competitive senior appearance before being forced to retire with cramp late in the game.
Berwick scored twice in two minutes in the first half. They opened with an own goal from Albion’s Craig Comrie in the 39th minute and Finn Graham quickly doubled the lead. In the second half, Blair Henderson bagged his fourth goal of the season in the 66th minute to make it 3-0 but Willie Robertson pulled back one for the hosts four minutes later.
Trust member Gemma Thompson kindly supplied the pictures from Forthbank.
It was a busy weekend for the Berwick players as on the Sunday, manager Colin Cameron had them together again for a special training session ahead of the League Cup tie away to Premiership club Kilmarnock tomorrow night ( Tuesday, August 25th ).
