The latest edition of Berwick Rangers Supporters Trust newsletter is now out. This issue is sponsored by Houndwood Crematorium which will be opening soon, just off the A1 in Berwickshire. In addition, once again, support for the publication comes from 24-7 Safety of Berwick. The Trust thanks both organisations for their backing.
It is believed that this is the biggest newsletter yet stretching to 24 pages with articles by a total of seven diffferent contributors. The late Sammy Reid is pictured on the front cover with a two page article inside on the Berwick legend written by Martin Inglis. Ron Kirk reviews the first team’s season so far and David Spence shines the spotlight on Trust AGM speaker Tommy Graham. John Bell provides an item on an unusual incident involving Berwick Rangers in the 1930s whilst a different article takes us back to the club’s early days in the 19th century. There is even a feature on Berwick Rangers in poetry!
Officially, this is the Winter, 2014 edition but coming out in 2015 means that any references to ‘last year’ refer to 2014.
Copies to recipients living in Berwick, Tweedmouth, Spittal, East Ord and Scremerston are being distributed by Trust members including Mark Swanston, Eddie McCall and David Spence. Those living elsewhere in the United Kingdom or abroad will, as usual, receive their copies by post.
***The next meeting of the Trust Board will take place on Saturday, February 14th, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. in ‘The Pilot Inn’, Low Greens, Berwick. The meeting is open to all Trust members. On the same afternoon, Berwick Rangers are at home to Arbroath in SPFL 2 ( 3:00 p.m. ).
