LATEST MATCHES— As the saying goes, ‘What goes round, comes round’ and this has rung true for Berwick Rangers the past two weekends. On April 5th, down to ten men, they lost 2-1 at Stirling Albion by virtue of the ‘Binos’ scoring two very late goals. At Elgin last Saturday ( April 12th ), it was Berwick’s turn to clinch victory with goals in the 87th and 88th minutes from Andy Russell and Josh Morris respectively against a City team reduced to nine men through dismissals. The final score was 3-1. The win keeps alive Berwick’s hopes of making the play-offs.
Berwick Rangers Reserves beat Burntisland Shipyard 1-0 at Shielfield on Saturday ( April 12th ) with the man dismissed at Stirling, Paul Currie, able to play as his suspension did not apply to the East of Scotland League. Kenny O’Brien scored the winner for the Reserves in the second half.
