Tomorrow the ‘Gers travel North to face second-placed Montrose in Ladbrokes League Two.
Berwick will be hoping to build on the hard fought win over Stirling Albion last Saturday with Berwick manager Robbie Horn now looking to string together a run of positive results “It’s important that we take confidence from last week’s result and try to build on that. We have created a gap from the teams at the bottom and find ourselves only three points off the play offs. We are in the middle of a hard run of games but have shown that we can compete with the best teams in the league. It’s about finding a level of consistency now.”
Opponents Montrose have been in fine form of late and are unbeaten in their last seven League Two fixtures: A run that stretches back to September. Their performances have not gone unnoticed with the club this week collecting both the SPFL League Two Manager and Player of the Month awards for November. Despite this, Robbie Horn believes the club can cause an upset at Links Park “There was nothing between the teams when we met Montrose at home. They are a good, well organised side but we know if we can play to the same levels as last week we are capable of getting a result up there”
On to team news now and Berwick will be missing both Jack Cook and Kevin Waugh for the trip North. Elsewhere striker Daniel Watt has been transferred to Hill of Beath Juniors for a nominal fee. Watt, who was the top scorer for the Under 20s last season, has completed the move on the back of the successful loan spell. Everyone at the club wishes Dan all the best for the future.
Admission for the game is priced at £13 and £7 with the hosts offering a Family admission, one adult and one child under 16, for £16. League sponsors Ladbrokes have Montrose as 8/11 favourites for the game with Berwick priced at 10/3.
Safe travels to all Rangers supporters making the journey and enjoy the game!
