Berwick Rangers’ management team of Ian Little & Robbie Horn have made further additions to the squad following the recent programme of friendlies.
Former Cowdenbeath defender Dean Droudge (23) can play at centre back or full back; Damien Gielty (28), who has been playing in Luxembourg for Avenir Beggen and is a former Newtongrange Star player, plays in centre or left midfield and has previously been selected for the Scottish Junior Select X1. He comes from a real footballing pedigree – his cousin is Manchester United and Scotland star Darren Fletcher.
Two more familiar faces have also been confirmed – Ian “The Eagle” McCaldon, who will double up as goalkeeping coach and back-up to Youseef Bejouai, and 20 year old striker John Ferguson, also ex-Cowdenbeath, who made a handful of appearances from the bench last season. More signings are expected before the start of the competitive season.
