Berwick Rangers Supporters Trust will have a display at Berwick Library’s ‘Healthy Christmas’ Open Day on Wednesday, December 10th
The Annual General Meeting of Berwick Rangers Supporters Trust will be held on Saturday, January 17th, 2015 in the Jeff Burnlees Suite at Shielfield commencing at 10:30 a.m. Guest speakers will be former Berwick players Tommy Graham and David Scott. Tommy, a Trust member, was at Shielfield for 12 seasons from 1986/87 to 1997/98 whilst David was with Berwick during the 1992/93 and 1993/94 seasons.
All current Trust members and new members joining on the day are invited to attend the meeting which takes place before Berwick’s home SPFL 2 game with Montrose that afternoon, kick off 3:00 p.m.
** The Trust recently paid the second tranche of £1,500 to help cover the cost of Berwick Rangers’ floodlit training facilities on the 3G surface at Whittinghame Drive in Haddington, East Lothian. The Trust is committed to funding half this season’s costs of hiring the facilities which are also used by local Junior club Haddington Athletic.
***Berwick Rangers Supporters Trust is one of a dozen organisations which will have a display at Berwick Library’s ‘Healthy Christmas’ Open Day on Wednesday, December 10th, 2014. The invitation to take part followed last summer’s successful two week exhibition about Berwick Rangers F.C. which the Trust organised through sponsorship from the Yorkshire Building Society.
Organisers of the ‘Healthy Christmas’ event felt it appropriate to invite an organisation with sporting links to participate. Others represented include NHS Foundation Trust, Hospice Care, Age Concern and the Motor Neurone Society. The Library, situated in Walkergate, will also be introducing its new wheelchair service for library users.
During the course of the day, there will be various forms of entertainment and activities including a performance by Berwick Middle School Choir. The event runs from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. with coffee, tea and mince pies available. Admission is free.
