Members of Berwick Rangers Supporters Trust Board were present at a meeting in the Jeff Burnlees Lounge at Shielfield on the night of Monday, January 7th at which Berwick Rangers director George Mathison gave a presentation about a Future Strategy for the club.
Also in attendance were members of Berwick Rangers Supporters Club’s committee, other directors of the football club and accountant Mark McLeman from JH Greenwood and Company.
There was plenty of discussion about the proposals in the Strategy document and concerning the future of the club in general.
Whilst the Strategy plan should still be considered as ‘a work in progress’, one conclusion reached is that, for the foreseeable future at least, Berwick Rangers F.C. plc is unlikely to move towards changing its legal status to become a community interest company, the possibility of which was raised at the Trust’s own Annual General Meeting last November.
