Trust board office holder appointments announced

By Supporters Trust | on February 27, 2012 |
Trust News

The Trust board agreed the following appointments at its meeting on Saturday, 25th February:

Chairman – Colin Pike

Vice Chairman – David Cook

Treasurer – Gordon Dickson

Membership Secretary – Bill Purvis

Director representative on the BRFC board – John Bell

Secretary – Karen Thorburn

All appointments will remain in force for 2 years until January 2014, except the position of Director representative on the BRFC board, which is open-ended.It was also reported at the meeting that Trust membership continues to increase, which is good news through we’re not about to start resting on our laurels. The Trust will be launching a new membership campaign to coincide with the build-up to the 2012/13 season – which everyone is hoping will see significant improvements on the field of play.

Trust board still seeking new recruits

The Trust board is still looking for new members.

There are 10 people on the board at the moment, but the Trust constitution allows for up to 15.

If you’re a Trust member (you’ll need to be aged 18+) and would like to join the board, then please get in touch with chairman Colin Pike, whose contact details can be found elsewhere on this website.

The board meets approximately every 6 weeks and is responsible for managing Trust business, consulting with the Trust membership on matters of interest, working in partnership with others to develop projects that improve the supporter experience at Shielfield Park and helping to raise funds that support these aims. All these activities must reflect the Trust’s objectives, which are enshrined in our constitution (or “model rules”, to give them their official title). Ideally, you’ll have a pc and internet access to help make communication easier.

The board will be meeting soon to put together it’s business plan for the next 24 months, so this is an ideal time to come on board. We look forward to hearing from you.
