The Trust raised a substantial sum for new projects at its annual race night event, held at The Pilot Inn, Berwick, on Friday,30th September.
As usual, the expert organisational skills of Trust members Les and Andy, who once again provided their services free of charge, helped make for an exciting night of four-legged frolics, topped off by an auctioned final race which drew a bout of high bidding from competing punters.
The receipts from the night will be put towards projects identified by the Trust Board on behalf of the Trust membership. Demands for a new left winger will be considered………..
Thank you to everyone who turned up and parted with their hard earned cash in these difficult financial times, and in particular to those people who contributed their services to help offset costs, including: Steven “Spadge” Scott, mine host at The Pilot Inn; Rob Jenner, of Loch Fyne Ales; Michael Barnett of Shiel and Morrison Printers; Colin Keenan of Keenweld; Chris White of Box 22 Planng & Regeneration Consultancy; Dougie Flannigan of Berwick Shellfish; and those Trust members who gave up their time to help organise the event.
We’ll be posting information on our next events shortly – so watch this space.”
