Two dozen existing and new members attended Berwick Rangers Supporters Trust’s Annual General Meeting at Shielfield last Saturday, January 11th. Four other members sent apologies for their absence. The meeting lasted two hours and was split into three sections. First came the formal business during which all members of the serving Board were re-elected with Stuart Lee of Tweedmouth also being voted on to the Board.
Then Berwick Rangers record holder Ken Bowron gave a talk about his football career including his two spells at Berwick in the 1960s. He was followed by manager Ian Little. At the end of their respective talks, both men were asked questions from the floor.
After the meeting, Ken said how much he had enjoyed giving his presentation. He almost certainly did not enjoy what he saw on the pitch later in the afternoon as Berwick crashed to a 4-1 defeat against Annan Athletic, the result and performance ultimately costing Ian Little his job as manager.
** The next meeting of the Trust Board will be on Saturday, February 15th, 2014 in ‘The Pilot Inn’, Berwick at 11:00 a.m. Berwick are at home to Elgin City the same afternoon.
