Ahead of Berwick Rangers’ last home game against Clyde on Saturday, October 1st, Trust chairman Michael Smyth and vice chairman Gordon Dickson were busy on a membership recruiting drive distributing Trust literature and talking to fans as they came into the ground. As is so often the case at Shielfield, some were visiting the ground for the first time including a group from Birmingham. The match finished level at 1-1.
** Thanks to all those who supported the Sleeze Sisters’ 70s event held in the Black and Gold Club at Shielfield on the night of Saturday, September 17th. Almost £300 was raised for Trust funds. Several members of the audience took the band’s details so the Tyneside-based Sisters may well be back in Berwick some time in the future.
*** The next meeting of Berwick Rangers Supporters Trust Board will be on Saturday, October 29th, 2016 in ‘The Pilot Inn’, Low Greens, Berwick, commencing at 11:00 a.m. Any Trust member can attend. That afternoon, Berwick are at home to Arbroath in SPFL 2, kick off 3:00 p.m.
